The band was founded by the trumpeter Antonín Koníček, a native of Vlčnov. During the 48 years of its existence, Vlčnovjanka has become one of the best small brass orchestras not only in its region, but also in the whole country. In its repertoire we can find, besides polkas and waltzes, also film and musical music in modern big band arrangements with great solo performances.
