Markéta Olšarová's installation is based on the architectural plan of Water Tower 1, which is built on a square plan. In addition, there are 50 arches referring to the name of her project and to the M50 star cluster, which includes the constellation of the Unicorn. The artist coated the lower edges of the arches with a luminescent film that reacts to the intensity of light. Visitors can write on it with flashlights, but the space also changes depending on whether and how much light is shining in it. In this way, the artist responds to the spatial and perspectival layout of the space, its dynamics, and the emotional disposition of the viewer. Markéta Olšarová's installation can be loosely interpreted as a cluster of stars: just like a star cluster, this intervention connects the individual elements into a harmonious whole.
The installation is located in Water Tower No. 1 and is part of the ticket to Yellow Hill water reservoirs.
