A light installation that combines art, upcycling, urban symbolism and tradition.
It is made of 11.5 kilometres of waste tubing – which corresponds to the distance from Freedom Square to the Brno Dam. To create this structure, the designers of the NAHAKU studio built their own loom measuring 2.5 x 4 metres, on which they wove the tubes into a luminous fabric. The installation conveys the idea of new life and rebirth, whether in an ecological or emotional sense.
It continues the project of the Brno dragon dressed in a luminous sweater. The egg is a natural evolution of the project and offers not only a visual experience, but also a space for reflection. It includes a text panel that several times a day delivers words to soothe, stop and amuse, reminding us that Christmas is a holiday of comfort and peace, not hustle and bustle and the need for material enrichment.
Buy a jingle bell and write a message!
We combined charity with fun - every Tuesday and Thursday between 16:00 and 18:00 you can buy a very special bell in the Atelier of the Bell Ringers and Potters on Svoboda Square, which you can't buy anywhere else! Not only will you donate it to the Hospice House for Julia and Dagmar Children's Home, but we will also allow you to leave a message on the dragon egg next to it.
How does it work?
1. Buy a special jingle bell at the Bell Ringers and Potters Studio.
2. Come up with a message of no more than 13 letters including spaces.
3. Please avoid messages that are xenophobic, racist, political, pornographic, erotic or threatening to good morals. These will not be accepted.
4. Pass the message to the marked place where they will tell you what time they will appear on the dragon egg.
So, any idea who you're dedicating your message to?
