The international jury in the competition for the title of European Capital of Christmas 2024 in the category of cities over 100,000 inhabitants decided unanimously for Brno among a record number of applications. She called the city a creative Christmas gem and Brno Christmas have thus established themselves as a festival of European dimension.

The Brno Advent markets have a modern concept that combines them with traditional values. Solidarity and charity projects play an important role.
